LOVE DIGITAL
The 12th Digital Media Awards were held on Friday 21 February 2014. The Digital Media Awards celebrate Ireland’s best and brightest companies using digital media. Tracey Carney, Event Director said:
“The awards give those working in this exciting sector the opportunity to showcase their talents and be duly rewarded for the original and creative work they do."With Samsung sponsoring the event for the second year running, the entrance hall really set the tone for this LOVE DIGITAL themed event. Guests were greeted with blue lit pods hosting a range of cutting-edge technology and devices to try out, before settling in around a colorful, centered, stage for what promised to be a creative, dynamic event.
Irish Life Corporate Business - hopeful
Irish Life Corporate Business were very proud to be shortlisted for Best Innovation in Financial Services. However the competition within this category was strong with impressive mobile app and website developments from Ireland’s leading financial services companies. We waited hopefully, as the night kicked off.
First up were guest speakers Pat Rabbitte, Minister for Communications, Energy & Natural Resources and Oisín Quinn, the Lord Mayor of Dublin, adding a certain gravitas to the occasion.
Savage host
Anton Savage was the host for the evening, which saw more than 500 people turn out, in the hope of picking up one of these prestigious awards. There were almost 30 categories receiving awards. Anton had his work cut out for him, trying to keep the excitable bunch quiet, without dampening our spirits - a task he managed with just the right balance.
We shared a table with Simon Chapman who won the award for Best Start up for his website QuoteFish. We hoped award success at table 49 would continue.
Award success for Irish Life Corporate Business
Paul Cooke, CEO of the Sunday Business Post took to the stage to announce the winner of our category:
“Pensions communications is a difficult challenge, but here it gets exemplary 360-degree digital treatment…”Irish Life Corporate Business scooped the award for Best Innovation in Financial Services. We were honoured to collect this fantastic award.
LOVE INNOVATION
This is the second Innovation award presented to Irish Life Corporate Business within the last number of months, a fantastic achievement for the company. But we won’t stop there.
